okayest! studios was founded by Joel Riley in 2022 to build tailored, purpose-built apps and games across mobile, desktop, and web.
In the race to build the next big thing, many tech companies get lost in the obsession over "moonshots" and "disruption," leading to a cycle of hype and abandonment. We focus on building things that just work, that last, and that have a meaningful impact.
This is the philosophy behind “okayest”: build products that master the fundamentals to achieve true excellence. Our work is “for anyone, but not for everyone”, thoughtfully designed for a dedicated audience while remaining accessible to all. We'd rather create an opinionated product that is excellent for a few than a watered-down one that is adequate for most.
